School Prospectus Films
Harrow SchoolHarrow School were recommended our services by their website designer, Interactive Schools, to produce a film about their pastoral care system. The film involved filming interviews with staff, pupils and parents of the top boarding school. The Pastoral Care film was shot using a special lens to create a very shallow depth of field. This meant that the viewers’ focus is on the interviewees and not on the amazing buildings and architecture of the school. As well as dealing with the technical aspects of lighting, sound, and filming, an important part of our role was helping the interviewees relax so they come across naturally and confidently on film. |
Woldingham MardenDefinition Media were commissioned by Interactive Schools, producing a series of nine films for one of the country’s top girls’ schools. Interactive schools then included the films in the interactive mini-prospectus distributed on USB sticks, and incorporated them into the school website. In addition to these films, we recorded a series of short films with the Headmistress answering Frequently Asked Questions. The school wanted a number of overview films covering academics, drama, sport and extra-curricular activities. This assisted their marketing department by promoting the various departments and activities students enjoyed at Woldingham School. As their pupils are as the best possible advertisment for the school, we suggested making three separate films, told purely from the pupils’ perspective. These films allow the viewers to learn more about the different stages of the school (Marden, Main House, and Sixth Form), and what makes a “Woldingham girl”. |
Northampton School For BoysNSB commissioned us to make a series of 13 films, aimed at showcasing the award-winning school. The films were made over the course of the academic year and will also be shown on the school's website. We spent 10 days filming across a couple of terms. Our filming subjects ranged from concerts and other after-hours activities, interviews with pupils and staff, lessons, sports events and footage of the school’s award-winning architecture. |
Royal Grammar ShoolWe were commissioned by the school’s web and prospectus designer, Interactive Schools, to produce a series of thirteen films. We filmed for a total of eight days throughout the year to capture different activities and events in the school calendar. We also interviewed key members of staff, pupils and parents to find out what makes the school such a great environment for boys to excel in. Not only have the films been used on the school’s website, but they have been incorporated into an interactive disc that forms part of the prospectus design. |
