Instructional and Training Films

Truma

Having previously worked with Definition Media, leading PR and marketing agency Gough Bailey Wright came to Definition Media when one of their clients, Truma, required new films for their website. Definition Media created six films added to the Truma website, explaining how to operate a variety of the company’s most popular caravan accessories. We combined an off-screen narration with footage of the equipment being used. In addition, we designed short animation sequences to re-enforce important aspects of the instructions.

Royal Mail

Multi-media design agency Camryn Design commissioned us to film a series of short segments explaining the operation and maintenance procedures for new equipment installed at a Royal Mail sorting depot. By providing a DVD detailing various procedures, the equipment manufacturer does not now have to send an instructor out every time a new employee needs familiarisation training - thus reducing costs for all.

“We are definitely looking to utilise video in more of the Health & Safety and Operation & Maintenance material we produce. Video is such an effective medium for training, and we know we are in safe hands with Definition Media.” Sadie Reeve, MD Camryn Designs.

Acumen

Acumen Business Services commisioned Definition Media to create some video content for the digital e-book version of his publication “Risk Management Simplified”. Six films were shot, and from an initial green-screen and autocue we developed the films, adding diagrams and charts from the book to emphasis and illustrate the points he was discussing. A film was also produced to instruct users how to use the features of the e-book.

“From the initial planning meeting through to delivery of the finished article, I found Martin to be extremely professional, personable and helpful. During the filming itself, they were excellent and extremely patient, giving lots of advice and guidance. I would have no hesitation in recommending Definition Media to anyone with a video production project."

Doctors Webcast

Definition Media are regularly commissioned by Doctors.net.uk, the largest community of Doctors online in the UK, to film and edit interviews with leading medical experts for their online resource. Interviews have to be set up as fast as possible to maximize the short time available with the experts. Following the interviews, the web videos are cut with power point slides, and encoded to the client's exact requirements, including metadata cue points. The flash films are delivered and uploaded to the client's site within a matter of days.

Sandler Training

As an innovative sales and sales management training organisation Sandler Training have been quick to realise the power of video, both in terms of communicating with website visitors, but also in terms of SEO. With a number of films coming from their American HQ, Sandler Training UK wanted more local content, and turned to Definition Media. It was not feasible to traverse the country visiting each of the UK franchisees individually. Instead we filmed short pieces-to-camera with the franchisees when they came to the UK HQ for one of their quarterly conferences. Many of the franchisees now have short films on their websites, introducing themselves, Sandler Training and its philosophy.

“Definition Media were extremely professional and easy to work with. They listened carefully to our requirements and made sure we got exactly what we asked for on time and within budget"

Fiona Thomson, UK Operations Director, Sandler Training.
